The speed of boats relates to not only the propeller but also the hull. In addition, form of boats, engine location (the center of gravity), displacement (boat weight), rudder location and others are related to the speed of boats.

Target speed of boats
The propeller
type SP (This is skewed propeller to increase maximum speed.) 25 knots
type M (The propeller has thin blades and a slim boss, so there is little resistance.) 30 knots
type UP-35 (suppress the cavitation and efficient it works) 40 knots
type UP-45 (The blades section is wedge-type and more efficient.) 45 knots
type NSC (This is surface piercing propeller and has four blades.) 50 knots

Improved NSC is
one or two knots faster. The performance of propellers becomes more and more better.

Well, what is your goal? Of course 50 knots are impossible at 100PS.
Let's grasp the status of your boat engine to calculate the perfect propeller! The more information you tell us, the more chance of speeding your boat up there is.

We'll be able to understand a horsepower and rpm of the engine if you teach us an engine model. But please check the reduction ratio stamped on the nameplate that is the side of the engine reduction unit.

When you tell us the boat manufacturer and model, we'll understand approximate length, width, depth and displacement. (Actually, the amount of cargos affects the displacement.) But if you know them, please tell us. The more precise informations are, the higher precision is. The rpm at full throttle and the boat speed (knots) are important points too.

How long is the distance(name it B) between a tip of a blade of the propeller and the bottom of the boat?
The standard is "B > 0.12D (D:The diameter of the propeller)". But we recommend "B > 0.15D" because of the speed of boats is faster than before nowadays.

Please tell us informations of your boat as possible!! The more precise informations are, the higher precision is.

[Disclaimer notice]
On the basis of the past results, we've tried to make the speed faster and make the fuel-efficient propeller. Although making the propeller with high technological cooperation of Nakashima propeller Co., Ltd., the boat can't speed up occasionally.
We cannot bear the responsibility. Please think it's just a courageous challenge.
